LoLo's: Discover Charleston's Seafood Gem on Folly Beach

We spent the weekend on Folly Beach and had to try out this local seafood spot. The crab cakes from the appetizer menu were a good size and the crab was tender, but a little too much horseradish for my palate, Mark enjoyed his very much. The broiled scallops were also very tender, but not as flavorful as I had hoped for. Overall tasty seafood with a casual atmosphere on the waterway.

Lovely staff, authentic food. We have loved every visit, but they shorthanded when we were there this week. Food was still yummy, will still come back. Best, most meaty fish tacos I've had anywhere. Fried oysters were perfect. We make it a point to get the Brussels sprouts and fried green tomatoes to share. Leave room for key lime pie. Don't miss out on LoLo's drink menu

We had the best spot in the house! The sun was setting on the patio and it was quiet and peaceful. Crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, fried flounder, and fried shrimp were great. BEST hush puppies EVER. Cocktails were delicious as well. The crab leg cluster price is a little steep.

So here’s the low low … I was hoping this “hole in the wall” restaurant would be a great start to our weekend in Charleston. Unfortunately, not so much. The pluses … some of the food was really good. The Shrimp Po Boy was good - I especially liked the sauce. The coleslaw was good. The hubs liked the she crab soup, I really wasn’t impressed at all with it - especially for $8 for a little cup. The shrimp tacos weren’t bad, they just weren’t great - and I almost always love shrimp tacos. The minuses… the service was a real vibe killer. She acted as if she hates her job and everyone there including the customers. We even had to ask for salt & pepper. The place feels like no one cleans anything - ever. Not sure I would give this place another chance - the hubs said he probably would.

This little gem is a great casual place with beautiful views and fantastic seafood. And don’t forget to finish off with a slice of their yummy key lime pie. We had a great time. Service was excellent! :)

Go on your way into folly it’s easier to get into . Regardless go! The hush puppies and honey butter were freaking phenomenal get them then get more to go! Everything we had was so good would go again and every day after. Only thing that would make it better would be buckets of beer.

This place was amazing! The seafood was so fresh. All of the food was seasoned very well. The service was great! Nancy took such good care of us. We will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Upon arrival saw that we had access to an absolutely gorgeous view. We were sat next to the window and immediately had service. I want to shout out Rob, he did a fantastic job giving us a rundown of all of the specials and serving us, he's definitely a professional. I had the Shrimp Po Boy and Hushpuppies, both of which were outstanding. My brother and Dad both had the Blackened Grouper Sandwich, and they devoured them, typically we all leave with to-go boxes with servings this big. My mother had the Oyster Po Boy and She Crab Soup and she also attests to their quality. All of us want to give a 5/5. If you need any other reason to trust my word, both of my parents worked in a seafood restaurant similar to this establishment for 15 years, and even they were impressed.
